Concrete Pillow

She was sleeping so peacefully despite the foot traffic and the cold night in addition to the cold concrete where she made her bed. Homelessness is a problem. I am very sympathetic to their struggle. Of course, there will always be those anomalous outliers who are addicts and alcoholics, but this should not be the stroke with which we paint all homeless individuals. Why is homelessness not seen in some other first world countries to the degree it is seen here? Maybe, if we really care we would take away what they learned and are now doing to prevent homelessness. They are people, not less than human.
